Quick answer

The answer first

The confirmed loop combines open-world exploration, open-ended quests, action combat, equipment hunting, spell crafting, alchemy, fishing, and full-game co-op. Early playtest footage also shows character creation, stealing, inventory management, skill progression, fast travel, and rough pre-release edges; those observations may change during Early Access.

01

What you do moment to moment

You explore an isolated island, follow rumors and written clues, meet unusual inhabitants, and search for routes into the Tower. Combat, dialogue choices, equipment, magic, and alchemy support that exploration rather than replacing it.

  • Follow leads instead of relying only on objective markers.
  • Use multiple weapon types and crafted spells in combat.
  • Gather equipment and alchemy ingredients while exploring.
  • Resolve many quests through mercy, violence, compromise, or deceit.
02

Spell crafting, alchemy, and progression

Steam describes spell crafting and alchemy as fully featured Early Access systems and says fishing is also present. The official launch trailer states that skills become stronger as they are used. Third-party playtest footage visibly demonstrates creating spells with effects such as damage or healing, but exact values should be treated as version-specific.

03

Choices, consequences, and co-op

The Amphitheater connects quest outcomes to the final act: helping or harming island inhabitants changes who—or what—fills its seats. The official description says the entire game is playable in co-op, including exploration and shared decisions.

  • NPCs can be killed, and the launch trailer says their ghosts may return.
  • Quest outcomes can influence the Amphitheater.
  • The main quest is described as completable in the current Early Access version.
  • Multiplayer requires a network connection on PC.
04

What early footage can and cannot tell us

The collected playtest videos are useful for seeing interface flow, combat rhythm, exploration, inventory handling, co-op behavior, and bugs. They are observations from pre-release builds—not a promise that every menu, item, location, bug, or balance value remains unchanged.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the game single-player or multiplayer?

Both. Steam lists single-player and co-op, and the official description says the entire game can be played in co-op.

Does it have spell crafting?

Yes. Spell crafting and alchemy are explicitly listed as featured systems in the official Early Access description.

Do choices matter?

The official description says most quests have multiple resolutions and that your treatment of island inhabitants affects the Amphitheater.

Is early gameplay footage final?

No. The collected long-form videos show alpha or playtest builds, so interface details, bugs, balance, and content may change.
